A high-stakes shootout between police and suspected criminals in Reservoir Hills on Friday, March 28, 2025, resulted in the deaths of three suspects and the recovery of two firearms and a grenade.
Authorities say officers acted on intelligence regarding a planned house robbery in the area. The operational team was provided with a description of the suspects' vehicle, which was later spotted in Reservoir Hills. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects opened fire, leading to a deadly exchange of gunfire.
During the shootout, three suspects were fatally wounded. Two police officers sustained grazing bullet wounds to their heads but received on-site medical treatment from paramedics.
Investigations have since revealed that the deceased suspects were linked to a series of cash-in-transit (CIT) heists dating back to 2021. Further inquiries are underway to determine any additional criminal activities they may have been involved in. The recovered firearms will undergo ballistic testing.
Authorities continue their probe into the incident as police remain on high alert for organized criminal activity in the region.
