Former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula is set to appear in the High Court in Pretoria this morning as her corruption case resumes.
The matter was previously postponed in January after the State conceded to the defence's demand to disclose two sections of the case docket.
Mapisa-Nqakula faces 12 counts of corruption and one count of money laundering, stemming from allegations that she solicited a R4.5 million bribe from a contractor during her tenure as Defence Minister.
Earlier this year, both legal teams agreed to a roundtable discussion following the State's decision to disclose Sections B and C of the docket. These sections contain key correspondence and the investigation diary.
Her defence team believes the disclosed information will support her case and help clear her name.
