The Congolese national accused of assault and torture at the Zanzou nightclub in Pretoria is set to appear in court today for his bail application.
During his previous appearance earlier this month, the case was postponed to allow a seventh victim to take part in an identity parade.
In February, disturbing videos of patrons being tortured at the nightclub surfaced on social media, sparking public outrage. The 41-year-old suspect was later arrested in Yeoville, Johannesburg. He is one of at least eight individuals being pursued by police in connection with the case.
The State is expected to oppose his bail application.
