Police have initiated a manhunt in response to a shocking mass rape incident in Mthatha, where it is reported that five matric pupils were raped and robbed on Tuesday night. The students were staying in rented accommodation near their school at the time of the attack.
In a separate, tragic event, Queen Mother Mtirara of eMqhekezweni Great Place, who was well-known for her outspoken opposition to local extortionists, was fatally shot at her home.
