Matric learners across Limpopo are gearing up for the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, which are set to commence on Monday, October 21. Over 94,000 full-time students and 30,000 part-time students are expected to take part in these critical assessments.

In 2023, Limpopo achieved a 79% pass rate, and this year, the province is aiming for an even higher performance. Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba has encouraged parents and guardians to support learners throughout this important period.

“My best wishes to the class of 2024, those who will be sitting for their final exams from October 21 to November 28," said Premier Ramathuba. She also made a special appeal to communities, urging churches, liquor outlets, and event organizers to avoid hosting events during the examination period. “Let us also avoid playing loud music and allow our learners to write and prepare for their exams without disruption,” she added.

The premier’s call reflects the province’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for students to perform at their best in the exams, which are seen as a crucial milestone for their academic futures.
