The Activists and Citizens Forum (ACF) has voiced strong support for the police's strategy of responding to criminal attacks with equal force. The ACF asserts that the nation is increasingly resembling a war zone, particularly as suspected extortionists recently engaged in a shootout with police.

ACF Spokesperson Dennis Bloem emphasized the need to support law enforcement, stating, “The police deserve our praise rather than opportunistic criticism. Crime is spiraling out of control, and it feels as though we are living in a war zone. Criminals show no respect for human life and act as if human rights are their exclusive privilege. Police officers are being killed as if they are the enemy.”

According to Bloem, recent police statistics highlight a troubling increase in violent crime, including murder, hijacking, rape, gender-based violence, cash-in-transit heists, extortion, drug dealing, and conflicts with construction mafias.

“We commend the police for their decisive actions against these threats. The Activists and Citizens Forum fully supports the police’s approach of ‘returning fire with fire’,” Bloem added.
