Deputy President Paul Mashatile announced that the Government of National Unity (GNU) will focus the next five years on advancing three key strategic priorities: inclusive growth and job creation, reducing poverty, and addressing the high cost of living. Speaking at the annual Nedlac Summit in Sandton, Johannesburg, Mashatile emphasized the government's dedication to tackling unemployment and improving living conditions in South Africa.
Mashatile reaffirmed the GNU's commitment to protecting and extending labor rights, stating, "Our goal is to encourage fixed capital investment, industrialization, job creation, and the transformation of our people's lives."
The summit brought together key stakeholders to discuss South Africa's socio-economic challenges.
