Thirteen school children were injured in a crash on the Bluff, south of Durban, on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred when the driver of their transport vehicle lost control, causing it to collide with a wall and a tree at the intersection of Lighthouse and Moffat.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the children, aged between seven and twelve, sustained various injuries. "Paramedics arrived to find a chaotic scene where the scholar transport vehicle had crashed into a wall and a tree. We found multiple children with injuries, and additional ambulances and advanced life support paramedics were dispatched to assist," Jamieson reported.

The injured children have been transported to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash is currently unknown, and the South African Police Service (SAPS) is investigating the incident.
