Two additional instances of Mpox have been identified within the nation. Health Minister Joe Phaahla will provide information regarding strategies to mitigate further transmission. The most recent case involves a 39-year-old man admitted to Addington Hospital in Durban. Another case was uncovered at St. Augustine Hospital, also situated in Durban. In the previous month, two cases were documented in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. The NICD urges individuals exhibiting symptoms to undergo testing. Such symptoms encompass rashes persisting for two to four weeks, fever, muscle aches, back pain, fatigue, and swollen glands.
