Today, six suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs will seek bail.
The men are facing charges of murder, robbery, aggravated assault, possession of firearm and ammunition, and defeating the ends of justice. They will appear at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court.
Last week, the case was postponed due to outstanding documentation. Fleurs, who was given hero's honors, was laid to rest in Mitchell's Plain over the weekend.
The 24-year-old soccer player was shot and killed in a botched hijacking, and his car was stolen at a petrol station in Roodepoort on April 3rd.
