Wednesday afternoon saw IPSS Medical Rescue responding to an accident on the R614 near Tongaat. Upon arrival, it was evident that the truck had lost control, veering off the road and crashing into trees. The driver of the vehicle was left in critical condition. IPSS Medical Advanced Life Support, along with Netcare 911 medics, swiftly worked to stabilize the patient. Due to the severity of his injuries, the decision was made to activate the Air Mercy Service helicopter. Consequently, the driver of the vehicle has been airlifted to a trauma 1 facility for further care.
