A man from Durban is set to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday following the discovery of a five-month-old baby's body near his home. Police found the infant's body on Sunday in Mpongompongweni.
While the cause of the child’s death is not yet known, detectives suspect the man is responsible for burying the body. "Police in KwaDukuza have arrested a 29-year-old man for murder. A body of a baby was allegedly buried in a shallow grave by the parents," said police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo.
