A man has been killed in an electrocution incident in Shakaskraal on the north coast. IPSS Medical Rescue medics rushed to the scene where contractors were believed to be working on a substation.
"On arrival, it was found that sadly one person had succumbed to their injuries, and a second was left in critical condition," says the service's Samantha Meyrick. "The patient has been stabilized on scene, and a helicopter is inbound to airlift the patient to a suitable facility for further care." The Air Mercy Services helicopter is en route to transport the patient for further care. The events leading up to the incident are still unknown.
