According to authorities, a shooting at a school in Vantaa, Finland, has left three children injured.
Law enforcement responded to the incident at Viertola school around 09:00 (06:00 GMT) on Tuesday, advising locals to stay indoors. A suspect has been apprehended.
The school, which comprises 800 students and 90 staff members, saw the departure of two ambulances, as reported by witnesses to public broadcaster YLE.
All individuals involved were minors, with three sustaining injuries.
Viertola school caters to students aged seven to 15, spanning primary and middle-school levels. The incident occurred shortly after children returned to classes following the Easter weekend.
