Police in KwaZulu-Natal are continuing their search for the suspects responsible for the murder of an e-hailing driver whose body was discovered last week. The 31-year-old driver, known to operate in the KwaMashu, Ntuzuma, and King Shaka International Airport areas, was reported missing earlier in the week.
On Thursday, provincial police confirmed that they had recovered the driver’s car from Avoca, located north of Durban, and discovered his body nearby.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda confirmed that the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Inanda police station has opened a murder case, though the motive for the killing remains unclear at this time.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
