A six-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being stabbed multiple times inside a classroom at a local church in Umhlali, north of Durban.
IPSS Medical Rescue responded to the incident on Tuesday morning, with Advanced Life Support paramedics providing medical assistance before transporting the child to a specialist medical facility.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue, the suspect is allegedly linked to previous incidents involving security officers and a bomb scare at local shopping malls.
