Police in the Western Cape are searching for a suspect after three men were shot and killed in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting and found the body of an adult man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a grey Toyota vehicle.
Another victim was found about 500 metres from the first scene, also with multiple gunshot wounds.
While investigating the second scene, police discovered a third body in Tabang Street.
Western Cape police spokesperson FC van Wyk says preliminary investigations indicate that all three victims were travelling in the Toyota when another passenger allegedly opened fire on them.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene following the shooting.
Police say the identities of the three deceased men have not yet been established.
Investigations are continuing as officers work to trace the suspect and establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
