A UAE Search and Rescue Team has located six people who had been reported missing following devastating floods in Nepal.
The team made the breakthrough in the Trishuli area while continuing field operations in coordination with Nepalese authorities.
The UAE team is conducting search and rescue missions in Rasuwa and Trishuli, where difficult terrain has posed challenges for rescue teams.
Advanced equipment and technology, including drones, are being used to survey affected areas, capture aerial images and create three-dimensional maps to help teams identify and reach targeted locations.
UAE Relief Operations Director Hammoud Al Afari says the team remains committed to supporting Nepalese authorities in locating missing people and responding to the disaster.
He says the team is using its expertise and capabilities to strengthen ongoing search and rescue efforts.
The operations form part of the UAE's broader humanitarian response to the floods, which includes search and rescue missions and the delivery of relief assistance to affected communities.
