The bail application of two men accused of being involved in the murder of former two-time boxing world champion Zolani Tete is expected to resume at the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape.
The investigating officer in the case, Nkululeko Mtati, is expected to face cross-examination by the defence as proceedings continue.
The State is opposing bail, citing the seriousness of the charges against the accused and arguing that they could pose a flight risk if released.

During last week's proceedings, the man who is allegedly linked to the killing made claims about his relationship with the former champion.
The 22-year-old allegedly accused Tete of threatening him with a firearm after the boxer discovered that he was romantically involved with his estranged wife.
The claims were contained in an affidavit that was read out in court by the suspect's lawyer during the bail proceedings.
The accused is applying for bail alongside his co-accused, while the State continues to argue against their release.
The defence is expected to challenge the investigating officer's evidence as the court considers whether the two men should be granted bail.
