FlySafair passengers have been warned to expect revised arrival and departure times as the airline works to resolve technical issues and recover from weather-related disruptions.
Severe weather in Johannesburg on Sunday disrupted flight operations, affecting several flights arriving from various destinations across South Africa and beyond.
The airline also experienced technical delays earlier in the day, resulting in extended waiting times for passengers.
Several flights bound for Johannesburg were diverted to alternative airports, including Lanseria and Bloemfontein, as adverse weather conditions affected operations at the airport.
Flights from Harare, Gqeberha, Cape Town, George and East London were among those affected.
A FlySafair flight travelling from Durban to Johannesburg was also forced to turn around and return to Durban, while departures from Johannesburg experienced delays.
The airline has advised affected passengers to monitor their flight status and check for updated departure times before travelling to the airport.
Passengers are encouraged to check directly with FlySafair for the latest information regarding their flights and any changes to scheduled arrival or departure times.
