The number of people reported missing following devastating flash floods in Nepal has risen sharply to 4,247, while at least 903 people are confirmed dead.
The latest figures mark a significant increase from the 2,502 people reported missing on Sunday, as rescue teams continue efforts to locate those unaccounted for.
Authorities say 3,655 of the missing are Nepali citizens, while a further 592 foreign nationals remain unaccounted for.
Hundreds of those missing are believed to be workers employed at hydropower facilities across the affected areas. Some were reportedly working inside tunnels when the floods struck, raising fears that the death toll could increase as search operations continue.
The disaster has also affected neighbouring Tibet, where Chinese state media reports that 16 people have died and 546 remain missing.
The floods have caused widespread destruction, damaging infrastructure and cutting off communities in some of the worst-hit areas.
Emergency crews are continuing search-and-rescue operations, with authorities facing difficult conditions as they work to reach isolated areas and account for those still missing.
