Residents along the KwaZulu-Natal coast are being warned to prepare for more wet weather, with the South African Weather Service issuing a Yellow Level 2 warning for disruptive rainfall on Wednesday.
Forecasters say the heavy rain could result in localised flooding, particularly in low-lying areas, informal settlements and along roads.
Motorists have been urged to exercise caution as wet conditions could make roads slippery, while reduced visibility may create additional hazards.
The weather service has also issued an advisory for very cold conditions across the province.
Light snowfall is possible over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal, adding to the wintry conditions already affecting parts of the province.
Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor weather updates, avoid crossing flooded roads and take precautions against the cold and potentially hazardous conditions.
