Six people have died in a head-on collision on the N2 near Mooiplaas, just outside KuGompo City in the Eastern Cape.
According to the Eastern Cape Department of Transport, the crash involved two vehicles, with one of the sedans bursting into flames following the impact.
Officials said some of the occupants were reportedly trapped inside the burning vehicle and were unable to escape.
Emergency services and law enforcement officers responded to the scene, where investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
