The case against a man accused of murdering Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Tshwane secretary Monica Dube has been postponed by the Cullinan Magistrate's Court.
Sipho Mahlangu, 35, made a brief court appearance on Thursday following his arrest earlier this week by the Gauteng Political Killings Task Team.
The matter was postponed to next Thursday to allow for Mahlangu's formal bail application. He remains in custody.
Mahlangu was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Dube, who was gunned down at her home in Wallmannsthal, north of Pretoria, last month.
According to investigators, Dube was shot multiple times by armed assailants during the attack.
Her death came just months after she survived a previous attempt on her life in March, when she was shot 11 times. She spent several weeks in intensive care before recovering from her injuries.
Police investigations into the murder are continuing as authorities work to determine the motive behind the killing and whether additional suspects were involved.
