Convicted Czech drug trafficker Radovan Krejcir has returned to the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court, where he is seeking an investigation into what he describes as excessive delays in the prosecution of his outstanding criminal cases.
Among the matters still pending before the courts is a case relating to his alleged attempted escape from custody in 2015.
Krejcir argues that the prolonged delays are unfairly prejudicing him, claiming they have limited his access to healthcare and other prison amenities.
Representing himself in court, Krejcir is expected to allege misconduct by the State during the proceedings as he challenges the delays.
Krejcir is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence after being convicted on charges including attempted murder, kidnapping and drug dealing.
The court is expected to hear his arguments as it considers whether the delays warrant further investigation.
