Netshiunda said a shootout broke out when police arrived at the location.
"When police arrived at his hideout spot, a shootout ensued between the police and the suspect. The suspect was shot and fatally wounded during the shootout. No police officers were injured during the shootout," he said.
The suspect was declared dead at the scene.
