Three police officers attached to the Pretoria West police station have been arrested on charges related to extortion and corruption.
The officers two sergeants and a constable were arrested on Thursday during an operation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit.
The trio allegedly extorted money from two suspects connected to a kidnapping case that they were investigating.
The officers are expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court next week on charges of extortion and corruption.
