Severe weather warnings remain in effect across parts of the Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape as multiple cold fronts continue to impact the region.
The warnings are expected to remain in place until Tuesday, with heavy rainfall, strong winds and flooding posing significant risks in several areas.
The South African Weather Service has issued an Orange Level 8 warning for disruptive rainfall affecting Stellenbosch, Drakenstein, Theewaterskloof, Breede Valley and Witzenberg.
Forecasters warn that these regions could receive between 200 and 300 millimetres of rain, raising the likelihood of mudslides, rapidly rising rivers and severe road flooding.
An Orange Level 6 warning has also been issued for Cape Town, the West Coast, Cape Winelands and the Overberg.
Authorities have urged residents in affected areas to remain alert, avoid crossing flooded roads and rivers, and follow emergency directives where necessary.
Meanwhile, Gift of the Givers continues relief operations in parts of the Southern Cape and Eastern Cape, where flooding has already displaced thousands of residents and caused extensive damage to homes and infrastructure.
