Residents of Dobsonville in Soweto have taken their electricity protest directly to Eskom offices, demanding the immediate restoration of power services.
Protesters gathered outside the Eskom Zola Hub, voicing frustration over ongoing electricity disruptions and alleged lack of communication from the utility.
Residents are also accusing Eskom of installing prepaid smart meters without consultation or consent, saying there was no prior engagement with affected households regarding the rollout.
Community members have submitted a memorandum of demands to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa, calling for intervention in the dispute.
Protesters say they will continue pressing for answers until their concerns are addressed.
