Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for suspects who shot and killed a 40-year-old woman at a tyre fitment centre in Vanderbijlpark, south of Johannesburg, on Tuesday.
According to police, the suspects were travelling in a Volkswagen Polo and fled the scene at high speed following the shooting. The motive for the attack remains unclear.
Noxolo Khweza confirmed that a murder case has been opened.
“Gauteng police have opened a murder docket following a shooting incident at a garage in Vanderbijlpark yesterday. A 40-year-old woman was shot and killed and the suspects fled. No arrests at this stage and investigations are continuing,” Khweza said.
Police investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
