A man was found dead on a bus at a service station in Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday evening.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) reported that their Phoenix Operations Centre received a distress call at around 18:45 requesting assistance. Reaction Officers were dispatched immediately and met the bus driver, who explained that he had stopped to refuel when he discovered a regular passenger lying unresponsive behind his seat.
Paramedics from the provincial ambulance service arrived and pronounced the man deceased. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and the passenger’s identity had not been confirmed at the time.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
