Police in Limpopo have recovered a stripped 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to missing diesel mechanic Reuben Marsberg, as the search for the 22-year-old intensifies.
Marsberg, originally from Howick in KwaZulu-Natal, recently relocated to Louis Trichardt for work. He was last seen on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. When authorities checked his residence, several household items including a TV, PlayStation, Wi-Fi router, mattress, and blanket were found missing.
At the time of his disappearance, he was driving a cream-coloured Land Cruiser carrying a grey toolbox. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned in Polokwane with visible traces of blood inside. Specialised police dogs were deployed to comb the surrounding area, but Marsberg remains missing.
A boat and trailer belonging to him were also stolen. The trailer can be identified by its blue tyre rims, while the boat’s propeller is marked with red paint and fitted with a Yamaha outboard motor.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information on Marsberg’s whereabouts or those approached to buy the stolen items to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on 086 1234 333.
