A badly decomposed body has been discovered in a bushy area in Lovisa near Waterloo, KwaZulu-Natal, early on Friday morning.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) says its officers were dispatched to the scene after a member of the public went to investigate a strong, foul smell and stumbled upon the remains. Responders were guided into dense vegetation where the body of an unidentified man was found.
A roll of wire and a beanie were recovered near the scene. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and authorities say further investigations are under way.
