Manhunt Underway for Killers of Mpumalanga Police Commander

Mpumalanga police have launched a 72-hour operation to track down the suspects responsible for the fatal shooting of senior officer Piet Pretorius.

Pretorius, 59, who headed the Vehicle Identification Unit in Ermelo, was gunned down on Thursday by unidentified assailants. The attack took place while he was in his official vehicle, with the perpetrators reportedly fleeing the scene in a white sedan.

In response, a specialized team of investigators has been assembled to expedite the search for the killers. Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as the manhunt intensifies.

Authorities have vowed to bring those responsible to justice, emphasizing their commitment to tackling attacks on law enforcement officers.
