Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Secretary-General Marshall Dlamini has stated that the political report to be delivered by Party President Julius Malema will openly address the challenges the party has faced. The EFF is holding its third National People’s Assembly (NPA) to elect the party's top six leaders, with 2,500 delegates set to attend the elective conference.
Dlamini explained that the report would provide an honest reflection of the party's performance over the past five years, emphasizing that the EFF’s constitution requires self-criticism and transparency. "We must not boast about empty achievements. Where we have not done well, we will address those challenges honestly," he said. "The goal is to leave this conference with a stronger and more solid EFF, ready to lead the people of South Africa."
His remarks come amid the recent departure of several former top leaders, including Floyd Shivambu and Dali Mpofu, who have joined the newly formed MK Party led by Jacob Zuma.
Dlamini also addressed questions regarding former party spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s potential candidacy for a leadership position. He emphasized that no one is above the organization, dismissing speculation about individual members. "This NPA will prove that no one is bigger than the organization. We are all equal members, and that’s where it starts and ends," he said. Despite ongoing speculation about Ndlozi’s future in the party, Malema has confirmed that he remains a member in good standing.
