A bomb threat at the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday prompted the KwaZulu-Natal SAPS explosives unit to conduct a thorough sweep of the building.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson Robert Netshiunda confirmed that authorities are working to identify the source and motive behind the threat. "All inmates have been secured, and the building has been evacuated as a precautionary measure," said Netshiunda, adding that no injuries have been reported.
