The R521 road near Dendron, outside Polokwane in Limpopo, has been temporarily closed due to a serious car accident. Traffic spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene reported that emergency services are currently on the scene.
The crash involved a bakkie and a Toyota Avanza on the R521 Kalkbank road in the Capricorn district. Chuene noted that the road is closed as a result of multiple injuries and potential fatalities.
“Emergency services are already on site,” Chuene stated. “Motorists are advised to exercise caution and be patient.”
At this time, it remains unclear whether there have been any fatalities in the incident. Chuene has urged drivers to use alternative routes to avoid the area.
