The number of MPOX cases in the country has now reached 20, following the confirmation of four additional cases in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal in recent days.
There is positive news for those affected, as approximately 15 patients have been declared healthy.
However, five individuals remain hospitalized due to complications arising from underlying conditions. The department highlights that the recovery of a significant number of patients indicates that MPOX is a treatable illness.
