The Mukerji family recently celebrated Durga Puja with great fervor, unveiling the idol of Maa Durga amidst joy and devotion. This year's celebration held a special emotional significance as the family remembered their late uncle, Deb Mukherjee, (Father of Ayan Mukherji) who was known for hosting grand Durga Puja celebrations. Kajol, Rani, and Tanishaa attended their family pandal, capturing heartfelt moments with family and friends. The sisters' emotional reunion was highlighted in a viral video, showcasing their love and nostalgia. 🥹🥰
Kajol's recent projects include Season 2 of The Trial and the film Sarzameen as well as hosting Two Much with Twinkle Khanna. On the other hand Rani Mukherji just received her first National Award alongside Shahrukh Khan and Vikrant Massey earlier this week. 🏆👏🏼

Vijay Dashmi, also known as Dussehra, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India, symbolising the eternal victory of good over evil. Falling on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Ashwin (September–October), it marks the culmination of the nine-day Navaratri festival.
This day carries immense cultural and spiritual significance, as it commemorates two great legends. Firstly, it celebrates Lord Rama’s victory over the demon king Ravana, an epic moment from the Ramayana that reflects the triumph of righteousness and dharma. Secondly, in some parts of India, it also honours Goddess Durga’s victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura, embodying the power of divine feminine strength.
The festival is observed with great enthusiasm across the country. In North India, dramatic enactments of the Ramayana, known as Ramlila, are staged, ending with the burning of effigies of Ravana, Meghnath, and Kumbhkaran. This spectacle, accompanied by fireworks, serves as a symbolic reminder of the destruction of evil forces. In West Bengal and eastern states, Vijay Dashmi marks the conclusion of Durga Puja, with idols of the goddess being immersed in rivers, signifying her return to her celestial abode.
Beyond its religious roots, Vijay Dashmi carries a powerful moral lesson. It inspires people to stand against injustice, uphold truth, and believe that no matter how strong evil may seem, goodness will always prevail. Families come together to celebrate, exchange greetings, and wish one another prosperity and happiness.
